Isla Amores (Alba Hotels)

Isla Amores is a private island — the last in the Rosario archipelago, about forty-five minutes by boat from Cartagena, with no neighbours and nothing on it that is not yours for the length of the stay. It sleeps twenty-four across five bedrooms and twelve beds, in oceanfront villas, a beach villa and a deluxe room, with five and a half bathrooms between them. Seven separate beach areas ring the island, with beds set out on each, two docks, covered kiosks, a massage space and a pool. There is a full kitchen, dining areas, a lounge and a gym, and full staff are included, which on an island is the difference between a holiday and a logistics exercise. Isla Amores is the Alba Hotels property that is not a house, and the one that explains what Alzur means by a private island rather than an island hotel.
